Promotion Engine AI Live Training #1 Transcript
[00:00:00] Bill: Well, hello there. We’re here on Stream Yard, which is a little bit of a different place than usual. So I just want to make sure everybody gets checked in. Okay. Make sure you get your name in, get registered ’cause if you, and make sure you put your correct and full name. Sometimes people will use a nickname and then I have no idea who you are. So do me a favor, use a name that I would recognize and ah, there we go. We got Bo. We got Tim Peter, Cheryl, Lloyd. Awesome. Awesome. Thank you. And hello. And there’s Chris from California. Got a fellow Californian here, and awesome. Well, right out of the gate, I want to let you know that this is being recorded and that we in addition to it being recorded so you can watch it back. We are also going to be taking all the content from today and breaking it into a bunch of really nice bite sized bits of training.
[00:00:56] Okay. So, currently in Promotion Engine, at the time of us being live right now there is no documentation. We’ve basically hit the reset button on Promotion Engine, added a bunch of new features, added AI to it, and we are redoing all of the documentation as part of this, like grand, grand reopening of Promotion Engine AI.
[00:01:19] And so, we’ll be taking a lot of what I go through with you today and it will become the documentation for the app. It’ll spin off into little written guides and in short little videos to explain how to use each feature. So all of this will be recorded and will be available later, both in full form and then also in little bite sized pieces as well.
[00:01:41] ~And ~we do have an open interactive chat while we’re doing this. So this is not like our normal, private style. It’s just us all hanging out in a mutual chat room. And you know, you’re part of an exclusive group. It’s a pretty tight knit private group that have joined this grand opening.
[00:01:56] You know, I will be bringing Promotion Engine back out to my list and selling it to others. They’re not going to get the same access that you will and some of the bonuses that you have, gotten, they’re not going to get those. So congratulations on being one of the founding members.
[00:02:11] So thank you for joining early and being part of that. One thing which we didn’t get a chance to explain too much, so launch day today is a little bit later than we originally planned. So we’re a few days behind the schedule. And one of the things I wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to do – so some of you might know that we don’t have our AI credit system fully in place yet. Some people knew that, some people don’t. But what I want to do for all of you who are part of our, first Founders group is I want to let you know that I’m going to leave it off for the next two months.
[00:02:46] So, I’m not going to track your credits and come up after you say like, oh, you spent one credit more than comes with your account and then you have to pay up, “give the money.” Not going to do that. I’m going to just leave it completely unlimited so you don’t have to worry about how many credits you’re using.
[00:03:02] You just get comfortable with the system, practice with it, use it. Now I will say this though, that doesn’t mean you can come and abuse it, okay? So don’t come in and try to crank out thousands of articles. If we do catch anybody like abusing that, I probably will reach out to you and ask you to stop.
[00:03:18] But otherwise I didn’t want you to have to worry about it. I want you to be able to use it abundantly. And I’m going to leave it that way for you for the next two months, okay? If you use double the amount of credits, triple the amount of credits, whatever, I don’t care.
[00:03:33] So I just want to make sure that you have the open access and I’m going to leave it for a full two months as my little make good for being late on kicking off our launch date. So, I hope that helps so that at least you can take that out of the back of your mind and you can just experiment, practice, use the system without worrying about using credits.
[00:03:52] Okay. Awesome. And then, oh, let’s see. Okay, good. It looks like Samantha’s with us too. That’s cool. I think Nick might be out there. Nick, are you out there? I think you’re lurking out there. Let’s see if he is. Nick, if you are out there, that’s producer Nick, also known as my son, there he is. Hey Nick. One of the business geniuses behind some of the deal making and our public content that goes on here. So, cool. And until you guys all know too we use this platform just like you do. And that’s the reason Nick is here. He’s actually getting training right alongside you so that he can take to his team and start having them use Promotion Engine in his content marketing strategies. So Promotion Engine is not just some, you know, interesting tool I built to sell to you. It is a power tool that we use ourselves on our own businesses and our own marketing. And that’s why Nick is here. So he’s here right along with you.
[00:04:50] I do have Jay here with me as well. He’s lurking behind the scenes. We’ll see if I can get him to say hello. Hey Jay.
[00:04:56] Hey everyone.
[00:04:58] Hey, hey. Well I’ll bring on camera for a moment. There we go.
[00:05:01] Hello.
[00:05:02] Yeah, so, so Jay’s out there helping me keep on the rails and make sure I stay on track and get him the content he needs to create our documentation.
[00:05:11] He’ll also be hanging out in chat ’cause usually once I start going with our content, I won’t be paying attention to the chat, so he’ll be in there. And then we’re going to do some q and a at a couple points in today’s training. So we have a lot to cover. So, I’m going to start out by just making sure that the strategy, that it behind Promotion Engine, that you fully understand it and can use it.
[00:05:35] To its full effectiveness in your business because the whole system is actually built around a very specific strategy. And so making sure you grasp it and understand how to apply it in your business will be really important. Otherwise you might struggle to get results out of the system ’cause it’s built to do some pretty specific things.
[00:05:54] And so Jay with that, I think I’m going to get to it.
[00:05:56] Jay: I just wanted to mention too for folks to know that the recording of this session will be available almost immediately after the session’s over in their training area for Promotion Engine. So that’s at promotionengine.com/training, and that’s where you’re going to log in. So, yeah. But other than that yeah, we’re ready to go, so let’s go.
[00:06:12] Awesome. That’s
[00:06:13] Bill: a good point too. That’s where the training is going to live. Everyone for as we build out the step-by-step training and really fill up the training area, it will live there. So it’ll be promotionengine.com/training is where you go to access that, right? Yeah.
[00:06:29] Jay: Bo is asking what happens with credits after the first two months and basically just reverts to the levels that they were promised, right?
[00:06:35] Yeah. And
[00:06:36] Bill: I’d have to go look at the sales page. I don’t actually remember what they are, but whatever the promise credits were in the promotion, I know even everybody already got bonus credits as part of our early founder promotion. So whatever credits are listed and were promised to you is what it will be set at.
[00:06:54] But for the next two months, there are no limits. I mean within, again, within reason. Please don’t, you know, don’t take advantage and abuse that, but otherwise there’s no limit.
[00:07:03] Jay: Alright, let’s dive in.
[00:07:04] Bill: Alright, cool. And then Jay, feel free to interrupt me if you need to get me back on track or if I’ve missed something that I need to make sure I cover.
[00:07:12] And there we go. And I also just realized I need to figure out a demo site to show them how to get the Promotion Engine plugin, but let’s see, there we go. I think I’m going to use Wellness Enhanced Life. Pretty sure that will not have Promotion Engine attached to it. Let’s just make sure. Okay, cool. Let’s see. And then I got to find the Promotion Engine plugin. Why don’t I see it? Excuse me everybody, I’m just making sure here I get set up to properly demonstrate to you how to do this. Let me see. Oh, it’s not active for whatever reason. Okay. Do you know if that’s the standard state for Jay when they first get on Profit Platform? Do they need to activate it? Yes. Okay. Well then that would explain it.
[00:08:25] Okay, great. So then I will do that as part of the training and now I’m good to go.
[00:08:37] All right, everyone, let’s get it rolling. I do have a slide deck I’m trying to get showing as well. Okay. Got that ready too.
[00:08:50] Alright. Promotion Engine is all about creating amazing content that speaks to your audience in a way that it’s almost like you can see into their inner emotional state and their inner thoughts and be able to create content that is exactly what they’re looking for. And so when they see that content, whether it’s scrolling through social media or they see it on your website the minute they see it, speaks to them and they want to click it because it’s actually specifically going into, at least in your niche, what they need and want deeply.
[00:09:30] And that gets focused in on something that you’ve probably heard me talk about in some of my training over on YouTube or other places. And there’s a strategy that I’ve been calling it 10 PGB, and if you are familiar with that, everything we do with Promotion Engine is centered around this strategy because while others are creating interesting looking content or quote unquote viral content or keyword based content that they’re trying to snatch rankings in Google.
[00:09:57] Those strategies are all old and there’s a better way to do it today, and that is doing it in a way that speak speaks directly to what the 10 PGB is all about. And I’m going to cover that really quickly to as a little recap, just in case you have not seen my presentation on this. And so let me pull that up and share the screen.
[00:10:28] Now. What we want to do is we’re going to create a campaign and create an entire system centered around 10 of the biggest problems that our audience has. That’s the P in the 10, PGB so sorry, five problems. That’s half of the 10 PGB. And then in addition to that, we’re going to be looking up five goals. So the five and five combined create a set of 10.
[00:10:57] And ideally we want to cover both the positive and negative. It’s a very specific reason that we are doing that. And, and it is that balance is what is going to help you speak to your audience. Okay? So rather than doing viral kind of clickbait content that just is sort of empty, right?
[00:11:14] You might have 10 different strategies for eating healthy, instead what you’re doing is you’re going to use a strategy that I’ll be showing you to make sure that the content that you create is not fluff. It’s also not stuffed with keywords and stuff that they’re not interested in.
[00:11:32] And instead it’s going to speak to them because it is going to be addressing a problem that they have. And usually this is a problem that has emotion attached to it. And regardless of how boring or how simple or how unemotional you think you’re a niche is, I guarantee you there are problems that your niche has that they experience negative emotion about, whether that’s frustration, fear anxiety anger, overwhelm and that feeling of not knowing what to do these are all variations of negative emotion that your market is feeling and experiencing and that your products and services are of at least a partial solution to help them understand, address and solve those problems.
[00:12:16] When we create content, you know, content can be all kinds of things, but for the purposes of Promotion Engine, the content all starts centered around blog posts because we want to drive people out of social media and onto our websites. In order to do business with them. And then in addition to that, there are other strategies I’m going to be going over that you’ll use social media posting and social sharing for not just blog posts, but images and text content as well.
[00:12:45] And it is this whole campaign that we can set up. An automated Promotion Engine is what helps you bring the audience to your website. So we don’t want to do keyword stuffing of boring, bland articles and, and we don’t want to do a a kind of viral fluff content. We want problems and goals that speak to our audience.
[00:13:05] And of course, the goals are the flip side of the problems. Those are the things that they aspire to, the things that make them feel good, feel happy, feel hopeful about the future. And so when we balance these two together and we create content around it that makes all the difference in the world.
[00:13:22] And then finally, the B of problems, goals, and benefits. And you can think of the b this way, that is the end state. What do they have once they’ve solved the problem or achieve the goal? Or more importantly, how do they feel? So, an example might be, you know, something as simple as a clogged toilet, right? So perhaps you create a piece of content that is like the surefire trick to unclog your toilet without a plumber, right? Maybe that’s your content speaks to a problem. And in the article you can talk about, the emotion attached to having a clogged to toilet and the potential like damage it could do to your house and the nasty water that’s running through the floor and onto the carpet and whatever, right?
[00:14:04] So you can really get into the emotion of that, even though it’s something as dumb as a clogged toilet. And then there’s a benefit when that is handled. The benefit would be like, ah, a sanitary and clean bathroom, and then never having to worry about this again. Right? So that would be the benefit.
[00:14:23] There’s a problem, we help them solve it with our, with our article, or if we can’t solve it, we at least educate them on how to solve it, or we enlighten them a little bit on a new way to solve it. And then we help them see that we are here to get them the benefits that they’re looking for.
[00:14:38] That’s kind of a silly example, but, and then the goals also have benefits. So problems and goals. Either one, have benefits on the other side. So let’s say their goal is to have maybe they’re into interior design and they want a beautiful aesthetic house that makes them feel great when they’re in it.
[00:14:57] You know, that could be a, that could be an example of a goal. And then if we talk about the benefit, that’s that feeling great part, right? So the benefit would be that they feel a sense of zen they feel a sense of pride, and that’s that end state that they might have.
[00:15:14] So maybe it’s like, you know, they’ll have beautiful furniture fantastic, art and decorative stuff in their homes, right? So some of the physical things can go along with the benefit as well. And so when we’re making content, we’re first going to start out with a plan because you need to stay focused on those problems and goals for your plan before you get started sharing your content.
[00:15:42] And so that’s what we’re going to do, okay? We’re going to be taking the problems, the goals, and the related benefits, and we’re going to plan out a content plan. And then we start releasing content all centered around those things because the solutions to those problems or the solutions that help them achieve the goals and the hope and anticipation and desire to have the benefits is kinda like bait.
[00:16:07] You know, it’s like a magnet almost that lures them to your website so that you can then do business with them. When they come to our site, then they’re going to fill out our subscriber forms to join our list. They’re going to be exposed to our brand, they’re going to see ads for our products. And in fact, this whole thing itself could be a business model if you show ads or affiliate product links on your site, that alone is an entire business model, but this content focused around this concept is the bait that brings them there.
[00:16:44] So it’s all about making content that helps your niche market with that most important 10 problems, goals, and the benefits. Related to them, and then we just offer it freely. So that’s why we want blog posts. You know, I’m not necessarily, in the case of how to use Promotion Engine, talking about forcing them to opt in to get your content, right now we’re simply talking about getting traffic. So we’re going to give it away freely in our blog
[00:17:16] and every website that comes with our system, if you own any of my other products that help you build and launch your business, they typically come centered around WordPress or based around a blog and automatically your site is already set up to connect to Promotion Engine and you can actually make a connection where the two connect up and Promotion Engine will send the content to your blog for you automatically.
[00:17:44] And that’s what I’m going to be showing you how to do today. But the first thing to do is to make sure you get really clear on your set of 10 problems, goals, and their related benefits. And don’t start until you get clarity on that. Just don’t start throwing out random stuff or doing, you know, only keyword stuff based articles that you won’t find that you have success with that.
[00:18:06] So now I have some other training that I will link to in our members area, and that appears on my YouTube channel as well on this how to do the research to uncover your 10 PGB. So, keep an eye out for that. If you’re not familiar with how to do that, there are some prompts and some strategies that you can use ChatGPT to uncover them.
[00:18:27] So the steps that we’re going to be taking is crafting our content plan with this strategy. Then we’re going to be creating blog posts that go onto your blog and Promotion Engine will help you do that, and it will post them to your blogs for you.
[00:18:41] Then we’re going to be sharing the links to that blog post, so, you know, at yoursite.com/bill’s-blog-post, right? You’re going to take that link and we’re going to share it in social media. And Promotion Engine is going to automatically do that for you as well. Okay? So that’s the first part of a two part system.
[00:19:02] Part one is creating and sharing content. Part two. Is analyzing that content and then using paid advertising to amplify and magnify your results. And so that is the two part system to what Promotion Engine does. And so, what I would like to do today is dive in a little more in depth on the part one and we’re going to walk through step by step how to set up Promotion Engine and get that content engine going.
[00:19:31] And at this point what I would like to do is do a quick round of q and a to make sure that everyone is fully understanding why we’re centered around this 10 PGB strategy in the first place. And then, then I’m going to get into showing you how to set up Promotion Engine to execute and have it do all of this stuff for you.
[00:19:50] So with that, I think Jay, I don’t know if you’re out there if you want to come on and we will wrangle some questions if there’s any out there related to 10 PGP and our strategy going in.
[00:20:03] Jay: So far? No.
[00:20:05] Bill: Yeah, and I want to remind to everybody too, you can get help. I think it’s help@promotionengine.com, if I’m remembering right, to get to the help desk. For Promotion Engine. We do have, yes, a separate help desk, by the way, for those who own some of my other products you might realize, you might not realize there’s actually a separate help desk for Promotion Engine.
[00:20:24] And if you want to get support for specifically about Promotion Engine, make sure you email help@promotionengine.com.
[00:20:33] Jay: Oh, okay. So, yeah, Bo has a question. He is asking if it’ll work with both PushButton AI and CommissionEngine.
[00:20:40] Bill: Yes. So it will a automatically, the, there’s a plugin. I’ll show you how to set it up. But all CommissionEngine and PushButton AI websites by default have the plugin already installed, and I’ll show you where that’s at. And for those of you who are not on our system, I’ll show you where you can get the plugin for you to install on your own websites.
[00:21:02] Jay: Yeah. And then also Tim is asking do they use their other products to narrow down the niche before analyzing the 10 PGB?
[00:21:10] Bill: Yeah, so you’ll start with Promotion Engine once you have your site launched. So that would assume you’ve picked your niche and your site is launched, and then Promotion Engine kicks in to promote that website.
[00:21:22] So if you don’t yet have a site, then definitely get with our team for help with that or talk to your coach if you’re one of our VIPs or Ultimates and get help deciding what your niche market is and get your site launched. And then that’s when Promotion Engine kicks in and helps you get traffic.
[00:21:40] Jay: Yeah. And if you’re building a site with PushButton AI or CommissionEngine, then you can also just use the same problems and goals that you used when you created your site. That’s something that you might have to have remembered, so, yeah. If you’re not even sure what your niche is if you are a PushButton AI member or a CommissionEngine member, we do also have the AI Niche Finder in the PushButton AI site where you can find a great niche for yourself.
[00:22:05] And then Chris is asking can you put the plugin on a Shopify site?
[00:22:12] Bill: Ah, let me clarify that. So, the plugin is specifically a WordPress plugin, so, it currently it does need to be WordPress. And I know there has been a lot of interest in Shopify, and that is something that we are exploring to see if we can add a Shopify app for support for Shopify. But currently it is a WordPress plugin.
[00:22:32] And that’s what connects your site with the Promotion Engine system. It’s not the only way you can use Promotion Engine, but it really helps make it easy to post from Promotion Engine to your site. It automates that process. It’s not the only way you can do it, but that makes it much more easy and and right now it is WordPress, whether you’re hosting your WordPress with us or yourself somewhere else, it will work with that.
[00:22:58] Right?
[00:22:58] Jay: Yeah. So that answers the next question too, is Neil was asking if you could use Promotion Engine with a non JobCrusher website, so something that’s not on Profit Platform, and yes, you can.
[00:23:07] Bill: Yeah, as long as it’s WordPress, then it will work just fine.
[00:23:10] Jay: Word. Yeah. And I think for Shopify, there might be a way that you could actually create your own separate WordPress blog that you could sort of, attach to the Shopify site.
[00:23:22] I don’t know the details on that, but I think that’s possible, isn’t it?
[00:23:27] Bill: Yeah, well, I think enough people have asked, we’re going to look into it. I don’t know technically how difficult it will be to add Shopify support. So I’m going to have all the customers vote to decide what features are the most important for us to build next. But so far I have seen a lot of interest in Shopify support, so, yeah.
[00:23:44] Jay: Yeah, Neil, just so you’re clear on that, ’cause you’re asking, you’re saying besides CommissionEngine, PushButton ai yeah, you can as long as, like Bill said, as long as it’s a WordPress site then you can install the Promotion Engine plugin on it, and then it’ll work with the Promotion Engine app.
[00:24:02] Bill: Yeah. And I see Cheryl’s question there too about SPP, and the answer is yes, it’ll work on any site that’s hosted in our network. If we built and hosted the site for you, it’ll just work right out of the box. If you’re not hosted with us and you’re hosted somewhere else, as long as it’s WordPress, you’ll also be good.
[00:24:19] You will have to download and install the plugin on your WordPress site, which I’ll show you in a minute. But other than that, it will work on any WordPress site.
[00:24:29] Jay: And I am seeing some Shopify fans here in the chat as well. Yes.
[00:24:32] Bill: Yes. So just to clarify, a CommissionEngine, PushButton AI, Simple Path to Profit and any other flavor of any other product we released where we host your website. Yeah, we cover all of them.
[00:24:45] Jay: Any site that’s hosted on Profit Platform.
[00:24:47] Bill: That’s right. Yeah. Okay, cool. And then as far as everybody understanding the difference between centering our content around the 10 PGB strategy which is, you know, it seems similar, but it is, it is different than some of the other content strategies you might have heard of before.
[00:25:06] And the reason I’m wanting to do that is to make sure that as we post content, it almost works like, you know, you’ve heard that term dog whistle, where just the right person kind of hears your message and responds while everyone else doesn’t hear it. That’s kind of what we’re trying to do with our content.
[00:25:20] We want to make our content speak to those people that are the perfect customers for us, while everyone else doesn’t see it, and that is good for a lot of reasons, including that it helps train the Facebook algorithm, and not just Facebook, but X, LinkedIn and all the other places we support. By making sure that just the right kind of people respond to your content that trains the algorithm to show it to more people like them. Which, it’s just better and better for us the more we do it.
[00:25:52] Okay. So then let’s do this. I want to just dive in and show you guys how to use Promotion Engine. So, that will be our next step and
[00:26:10] Okay. Getting all my screens going and see how do I want to start this? Okay, here we go. So the very first thing that you need to do is to log into the app, the Promotion Engine app. That is@app.promotionengine.com. You’ll log in with your username and password, and the very first time you log in, you’re going to be presented with a screen that is going to encourage you to create your business and your in Promotion Engine.
[00:26:41] ~We, ~we create businesses that are sort of like containers. Think of it like ~a, ~a little container to hold different kinds of assets. And the assets are all the stuff that your business uses to promote itself, right? So think like your website is an example of an asset that you would add to your business, or maybe a Facebook page that you use to ~pro ~post content about your business or perhaps your LinkedIn profile, Instagram.
[00:27:05] But all these things are different kinds of assets and we organize them together into what’s called a business. And we do that so that we can tightly control. Who has access to your stuff. So let’s say as an example that you want to hire a virtual assistant and you want them to help you with your content creation.
[00:27:25] Or perhaps you have a staff member, or a brother-in-law or whoever it might be that you want to have help with your business, but maybe you have, you know, business A and then you have another business, business B, and you don’t want them to accidentally post to the wrong place.
[00:27:40] Maybe they’re helping you with your affiliate business, but you’ve also got, you know, maybe you’re a chiropractor and you have your chiropractic practice and you want to keep those separated so that virtual assistant or your brother-in-law doesn’t accidentally post some crazy content to the wrong page on the wrong website.
[00:27:59] So it helps us organize this and then give access to your team so that you can control what they have access to post to, you know, what websites post to where, and we control this. And so I’m going to show you how this works and how you set this up. I have a test account that I just set up, so I have a brand new clean account that has never been set up before so that I can demonstrate what this looks like.
[00:28:29] Okay? So you’ll log in here. And you’ll click the login button. So this is what you’re going to see when you first log in. So make sure you follow these directions. And you can see, see here it’s telling you, please select a business to use. Now you can change a business at any time. I’ll show you that in a minute. So we need to start out by clicking the little “here” that you see here. Okay? So click on here and we’re going to create a business and we’re going to call this “Bill’s Test Business.” And you can put your phone number in if you wanted to or your business email. I’m just going to put that. And then a description. This is for your use. So this is not going to be public. So this would be like notes for your team. This is for posting business and money making content only. And then we click create.
[00:29:33] So there we go. Business created successfully, click here to view your business. So if you ever want to see, there’s a lot of settings and other things. To control your business. And I’ll take you to that page here. This is what it looks like, but right now it’s pretty empty. Okay? So you can see there’s my test business right there.
[00:29:50] So as you add more, like we can come over here and create another one. We’ll call this “Dog Training, Inc.” And all this is optional too. You can put the email in or not, and then we’ll just click create. And there you go. We’ll go back, and now you can see I have two businesses. Here’s the first one, there’s the second one. And you can always get back here at any time by coming up to your profile. See at the top right where you see my name there, if you click this, you can always come back to your businesses right there.
[00:30:27] Now, these are the buckets that hold all the various assets related to your business. And we can come in here and let’s come here and we’ll click on business settings. And it’s asking me to select which business I want to use, okay? So you’ll notice it’s going to force you to work on one business at a time.
[00:30:45] So we’re going to click on Bill’s test business and say Submit.
[00:30:48] And so here we can add our assets. So we can add Facebook pages, Facebook ad accounts, X accounts, LinkedIn, Instagram, your websites, and then add networks. You can also invite people to your team. So like if I wanted to invite Jay to come help me with my project I could invite him as a team member. And you could do that here by just clicking invite.
[00:31:13] You can select which features, there’s a lot of features, so you have control over which features you’re giving out. Okay? If you just want them to see reports, you could click that. That’s like a speed speedy way to do that. If you want them to be able to write content, edit content, or have control of ads you can just click these for a quick set of this things like that.
[00:31:37] Okay? So you’ll notice right now my business does not have any members in it since I’m the owner, so you won’t see me in there. Okay? We will come back to this in a moment.
[00:31:54] And then, oh, it also, it’s prompting me to “set your time zone.” You can do that from “My Account,” which is right here. This is under the profile tab, which is the next thing I wanted to show you. ~So ~you can do that here by changing what your time zone is. That is, so all of our reports, but also our scheduling tools will be in sync with your time zone. So when you use our scheduling tools that schedule your social media posts or schedule when your blog posts are going to happen, they’re going to use the time zone that you specify. ~Okay? ~And then when you make any change, make sure you click Save. I’ve seen a lot of people will change things in here. They forget to click save, and then they wonder why it didn’t save. So make sure you click save. And there we go. So now my time zone is set.
[00:32:37] Now you’ll notice in the profile that we’re in there are several things in here in your profile. You can always come back to this screen I’m showing you by the way, by also clicking on the top right and you’ll see “edit profile.”
[00:32:52] So if we click that, it will return us back to this page. Now, in here we have what’s called our “API key,” which we’re going to use to connect to our website. We have social accounts, which is where we connect all of our social media. And then we have ad networks, which we’re going to talk about in a future training session.
[00:33:14] So when you first get started, don’t bother with this. Don’t connect ad networks. All we’re going to do is set up your website to start with and then set up your social media accounts first. Okay? Now to demonstrate connecting these, I’m going to log out of this demo account and log into a real account to give you an example of what this looks like, stand by while I do that. I have another test account, but it’s got live stuff in it, so this will make it easier. So there is an example there and what you will do is you will come first, let’s connect your website and you’ll come to API key right there. Okay? And when you click API Key, it’s going to give you a crazy key that you see this here. And we need to copy that, okay? And then what we’re going to do is we’re going to install the WordPress plugin on our websites.
[00:34:22] And now many of you have hosting that we provide that already has the WordPress plugin installed. And so let’s jump over quickly here to, this is an example of a WordPress website hosted on our system. And so what you will do, if you have our hosting, it will already be installed. And if we come down to plugins and we’ll wait for that to load, then we’re going to activate the Promotion Engine plugin and we’re going to add our key.
[00:35:04] There we go. So we’ll go. It’s going to be way down. And that is right there. So you’ll notice, see where it says Activate. So we click activate, it’s going to install and activate the plugin. That can take a moment to complete. There we go. So now what you’re going to do is you’re going to go under Settings and look for Promotion Engine, click that, and then when we get to that page, we’re going to paste our key in. That’s the key that you saw on the previous page. One of the things that you’re going to notice is it says “the API key has been set successfully.” If you see this and it’s your very first time logging in, ignore it. Make sure you click the link anyway. So it says “To reset the API key, click here and then it’s going to show the key. We paste the key in here, and then we click save API key. Now your pixel id we’re going to skip that for now. We’ll come back to that in a future training session. This is a tracking, a method of tracking with some code that we’re going to cover in a future session. But you can ignore that for now.
[00:36:23] And now our key is set, okay. You just need to set it once. And then when you click Save it’s now going to appear available in our account. Okay? So, once it’s in the account, we go here to our businesses, and we can add it into our business. So let’s do it. Actually, you know what, I’m going to do it under this business right here. So, I have a business called Body Reboot. It’s kind of related to that topic, so I’m going to put it in there. So I’m going to click “Business Settings,” and then under here, what I’m going to do is I’m going to add the website. We’re going to give it a moment to collect up all of our assets. We’re going to come here, we’re going to say asset sites, and it should appear here. There we go. That’s the site. So we click the site and notice it showed up here. It is now added to our business.
[00:37:27] Now, one thing I want to make really clear is you must click Save. And sometimes this little menu hides that. So depending on what browser you’re on, sometimes it’s kind of sticky and it will hide the save button. So beware. You can click this to hide it again, and then click Save. And now it is added to our business and can be used to post content. Okay. So before we post content, there is actually one other place that we’re going to need to do some work on that, and I’ll show you that in a moment. Okay? So that’s how you add your website.
[00:38:12] Now before I move on Jay, was there anything else I should show about how to add your website? Before I move on to adding other things?
[00:38:22] Jay: I think that’s pretty clear. Just to, show them that the API key is what is necessary in order to be able to connect the two.
[00:38:30] Bill: Exactly, exactly.
[00:38:32] And then if you need to install the plugin, I’m trying to remember, I believe that is here on post creator, I believe. Yes. So if you need to get the plugin, you would come here. You can see, I’m getting a warning here that this website actually is out of the plugin is out of date. So it needs to be updated. So if you see that, then you know your plugin needs to be updated. But here what we’re going to do is we’re going to click add a new website, and this is where you get the plugin. Okay. So actually in sequence, I should have probably showed this first.
[00:39:09] Jay: So this would only be for, Sites that are outside of the Profit Platform network, correct?
[00:39:14] Bill: That’s correct. This is only for sites that we are not hosting. We automatically install and keep you updated with the most up-to-date plugin. But if you have sites hosted elsewhere on your own, this is where you get your plugin. And you’ll see, download the Promotion Engine plugin by clicking here.
[00:39:33] There’s that little link here, and then that will download the plugin so that you can then install it on your website. Now, there’s a little set of instructions here on how to do that. If you need additional help, reach out, talk to support. You might end up needing to get a little bit of help from your webmaster, but we will do our best to try to help you if you’re not on our hosting.
[00:39:55] Jay: Okay. And we do have a couple of questions. If, if you want to take some time to answer those right now or?
[00:40:01] Bill: Sure. Let’s do that.
[00:40:03] Jay: All right. So we had a question from Wahida asking if each, so is there a limit to the number of businesses that you can add?
[00:40:13] And does that equate to a separate brand?
[00:40:17] Bill: Yeah, so each business is kind of a separate brand. And it’s really designed to help be like a firewall in between sets of assets so that people can’t accidentally post the wrong thing on the wrong page. ’cause we have a lot of automation tools, and one of the things that we ran into in the past was that people would fire up the automation tools and it would start posting things to the wrong pages or the wrong websites. And so we wanted to make a really clear line that separates these different things so you can put them in buckets of related sets of assets. So we call them businesses that are intended to be used that way. So it’s like, here are all the things related to this business, all the related pages, all the related websites, social profiles. And it is designed to be one per business, and that’s the reason why.
[00:41:07] Jay: But you can have multiple websites inside of a business.
[00:41:09] Bill: You can have multiple websites inside of the business. I know there are limits depending on what level you buy at. There are different numbers of sites allowed and different numbers of total businesses allowed in the accounts. But actually right off the top of my head, I cannot remember. I’ll have to pull the sales page up.
[00:41:29] Jay: Alright. And then next question we had was from Bo he was asking if he could use a time zone other than his own, would there be a reason to do that?
[00:41:39] Bill: It’s all about how you want the scheduling and reporting to work. That’s what the time zone is setting is for, so that when you’re pulling reports, or you’re setting up automations, or let’s say you schedule a post that you want to hit on your Facebook page, that’ll keep the time in sync for those kinds of things. So it’s really up to you on what you want to set it at. You know, if you have a team that’s running your business and you want to set it on their time zone, you could. But that’s its purpose.
[00:42:08] Jay: All right, great. Suzette was asking how often are updates to the plugin needed?
[00:42:14] Bill: Almost never. Yeah, it does get updated periodically, but it’s very rare and if you’re on our hosting, the updates happen all automatically.
[00:42:24] Jay: Okay. Jens is asking, is hosting part of the ultimate?
[00:42:28] Bill: Not, not Promotion Engine Ultimate, no. Promotion Engine Ultimate is about Promotion Engine, which is the tool that does all of this. You know, some of our other products are about building businesses. And those do come with hosting. And who asked that one? What’s that? Who asked that one?
[00:42:47] Jay: That was Jens Larson.
[00:42:50] Bill: Okay. And do they have any of our other stuff, do you know, PushButton AI CommissionEngine, or anything else?
[00:42:57] Jay: Yeah, I don’t know that off the top of my head.
[00:42:58] Bill: Yeah, if you have any of those products you already have hosting? Yeah.
[00:43:03] Jay: And he says no, he doesn’t, so, yeah. And then Harold’s asking kinda a open-ended questionnaire. What’s the simplest way to get started?
[00:43:11] Bill: Follow the steps I’m giving you today, right? So we’re kind of breaking this into pieces, but just rewind and watch the steps that I just showed, and then on the next set of steps that I’m about to show, and that will get you started.
[00:43:27] Jay: Yeah, I’m not seeing any other questions right now, so, why don’t we continue on?
[00:43:32] Bill: Cool. Cool. And then a reminder for everyone, this is being recorded. You can watch it back. And then in addition to that, Jay will be working with his team to edit this up and turn it into nice bite sized pieces of content that will walk you through, you know, without the commentary and q and a and just the short little sets of training about how to do the specific things. So that’s all coming. But in the meantime, you can watch this video back as many times as you’d like.
[00:44:00] So now we have set up our business. We have attached our website and installed the plugin or activated our plugin and we have added it to our business.
[00:44:10] So at this point. You could create content and post it to your website, and if that’s all you want to do, then you’re set. But a very important part of Promotion Engine is to not only post the content to your website, which I will show you how to do in a another set of training here in a minute. But you also want to share that content on social media. So we want to add as many social media pages or profiles that we have to our Promotion Engine account so that we can now share the content that we make on our website automatically on our socials. And I’m going to show you how to add your social profiles to your Promotion Engine account in this video.
[00:44:58] So what you’ll want to do is you’ll come over here to the top right navigation, you’ll click it and go to edit profile. Okay? And just like before, it’s a two step process. First, you’re going to connect the social account to Promotion Engine, and then second, we’re going to add it to your business so the business can use it.
[00:45:18] So we’ll go here under social accounts, and you’ll notice here’s a bunch of tests that we have set up. But you can see that I’ve added my X account. I have added my Instagram account, my Facebook account and then down here is my LinkedIn. So all of those are available to connect. And you’ll see down below these these buttons down here is how you connect each one of those. And so, as an example, you would click the Connect Facebook account and you can connect multiple different Facebook accounts if you have them. Okay? So this is what you will see. Now to make Promotion Engine work properly, do not uncheck these. You have to give us all these permissions if you want it to function without problems. So leave those, don’t adjust them and click “Connect to Facebook.” That’s going to open up this little window right here. If you’re not logged into Facebook, it’s going to prompt you to log in. And this little window comes from Facebook as you can see there. So this window is not from our website, this is from Facebook itself. So make sure you log into your account if you’re not already logged in. And then click down here where mine says reconnect. Yours will just say “Connect” if it’s the first time you’ve done it, and you’ll click it and then the page is going to reload. And then you’ll see the social account appear right here. So there it is right there. And it’s the same exact process for all your socials. So we would do the same for Instagram. So we click that. You’ll notice same thing, do not edit these. That will make your, your account not function properly. So leave all of those checked, click connect Instagram and go through the same process.
[00:47:01] X works very similarly. We click that it’s going to go to X, prompt me to authorize the app, and there we go. And the same with LinkedIn works exactly the same. And so for starting right now, I suggest you connect your social. So wherever you have Facebook pages as an example, Instagram pages X accounts, anything that is related to your business, add them here. Now the one thing you will skip is you can skip connecting your Google account. For now, we’re going to come back and cover advertising in another training session. So skip Google account and add just the social profiles for now. And now those are all added. And at this point they are added at the account level.
[00:47:50] So you as your login, your account in Promotion Engine, those are now added to it. And so now you choose which businesses that you want to grant access to your. Social profiles. So that’s how we keep the different businesses separated. So let’s say I have, for my example, I have many different businesses. So there may be specific Facebook pages and accounts that I only want one business to have access to, but not another. And here’s how you do that.
[00:48:22] We’re going to end up coming back here to businesses right there. Again, it’s at the top right of the navigation and you click on businesses. And then what you’re going to want to do is go to the business that you want to edit, and let’s say that one, we’re going to click on the little gear icon there. And then this takes a moment to load. It’s loading up all your assets and searching and finding all the stuff that you have access to. And then it’s going to list them under this section here that says “Business assets.” And you can add your assets right here. So under here you’ll notice here are all the Facebook pages I have access to under my account. And I can selectively pick, that’s a lot of pages, I can selectively pick which one of those I can now add to this business. And you just click it and it’s going to add it to the business. So for this round, during this training we’re doing now, you want to connect any related Facebook page here.
[00:49:23] Any related X account, any related LinkedIn account, Instagram, or your sites. For now, we’re going to skip ad networks and Facebook ad accounts. We will return back to that in another training where you can add those. For now, let’s get your account activated so you can start creating content and posting it. And then separately, in a future training lesson, I will show you how you use the advertising features. Now, as a reminder, make sure you click Save here after you have added the assets to your business. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that and sometimes the menu gets kind of sticky here and it hides the Save button. So if that does happen to you, make sure you re-click the button and click on Save, or it will not save your changes. And with that, it is now connected to your business and it is ready to be used for sharing, posting, and creating content.
[00:50:26] Now, there is one final step in all of this, and if that is, if you’re going to be posting content to your website, there’s another set of controls to determine what pages your site is able to post to. This is one last set of controls, and you’ll get that by going to “Content Engine, Post Creator.” And so here you’ll notice, like we have Wellness Enhanced Life, that was the one I just recently added. You’ll notice we can create a new post or we can view the posts that are on that website, or we can delete it and remove it from Promotion Engine. Now you’ll notice a theme in that are a lot of controls here to determine what gets to post where.
[00:51:14] And we’ve designed it this way because of user feedback and issues that we have experienced where, there are power users, or if you have a marketing agency you may have a lot of pages like I do. I have many, many, many pages. Many different businesses and it is very easy to accidentally post the wrong thing to the wrong place. And these steps, while they’re annoying in the setup process, they ensure that you don’t have that phenomenon where you can accidentally post the wrong thing to the wrong place and it tightly controls it so that your staff or your virtual assistants or whoever else might have access will only see the assets that you want them to and they won’t see the others. So this is how we control that for visibility, but also to make sure that the content doesn’t go to the wrong place. And with that, I want to see if there are any other questions again before I move on to showing you how to post to your website.
[00:52:16] Jay: There were definitely a few questions in there. Well, Ranjit was asking will you help in creating a course or product to promote?
[00:52:28] Bill: So I mean, we do have that in our in PushButton AI and CommissionEngine. That’s all about making the products that you’re going to promote, right? One thing I will be doing in our training together as part of the Founder’s Club, is teaching you how to set up a website and sell affiliate products or put ads on your website. So that is training I will be giving to you in the Founder’s club. That’s a little bonus that we added for the early access people. And that’s training, that’s going to be an ongoing process about a whole business model that you can do to make money. I call it “making money from thin air.” That’s the term I use. But I’ll be covering that in detail about that type of a business in those sessions that we’ll have together in the future.
[00:53:11] Jay: Okay. And then Wahida was asking, what if you are using your GHL account to post? Can we use Promotion Engine as well, both simultaneously and just have different times?
[00:53:24] Bill: For those of you who don’t know, there is a tool called Go High level. It also has a social manager that will help you manage a control posting to places. I would recommend when it comes to Facebook or any of the platforms that we promote, you just use Promotion Engine for those. And if GHL supports some platforms, we don’t, you can use it for those other platforms. That would be my recommendation. But technically both should work. They shouldn’t conflict with each other. They might, you know, if you get the timing wrong, they might post, at about the same time accidentally, which is why I would recommend using one or the other for a specific, property.
[00:54:01] Jay: Yeah. And I think one of the advantages of this system is that you can use it to quickly post to social networks. The posts that you create on your blog, you can very quickly also repurpose and post on social. So I think that’s one of the differences maybe.
[00:54:17] Bill: Yeah. And you can create video posts. You can create image posts, you can use our AI tools to make image to share on social. So there are some other applications too, but, that would be my way to do it personally, is just the ones that we don’t have access to in Promotion Engine use those over there. The ones that we do support then use Promotion Engine 100% for those, that would be the recommended way to do it.
[00:54:41] But ultimately it’s up to you. You could do both all at once. That should not be a problem.
[00:54:47] Jay: Okay. And then Rick is saying “I don’t see TikTok as an option. Do you plan to add it?”
[00:54:54] Bill: We will add support based upon your guys’ feedback. So, there’s like five or six more features that we are in active development right now, but TikTok support is not one of those. So if there’s enough votes for it, we can support it. The one thing to realize is we are not necessarily a video platform. We are about posting content to your blog and sharing it, and I don’t know if there really is an effective strategy to do that on TikTok. I don’t know. Have you seen one Jay a strategy that would allow you to share links and text-based content really on TikTok?
[00:55:29] Jay: You could I know that they have not too long ago enabled just image posting, so it is something that is possible. But I haven’t worked with it myself.
[00:55:38] Bill: Yeah, I haven’t done it. So if it’s possible, I want to go experiment and see how that would work. If they will let you share links, like clickable links on TikTok, then that would be one that would make a lot of sense for me to add. But again, it’ll be based on user demand. You know, I think some of the upcoming features, for example, are going to be advertising related. So there’s some additional advertising channels I want to support. I want to support LinkedIn ads as an example. We already support Facebook ads and Instagram ads. So we want to add LinkedIn ad support. I want to add X Ads support. We’re also adding a feature that’ll do threads, you know, like, threads are often really popular on x. It’s also a great posting strategy on Facebook and other places where you have a text post or an image post, and then a series of comments that kind of all weave one piece of content together in one whole post. So, AI generated post threads or adding that. Google Ads comes after that. Then I’m just thinking through the roadmap, then Native Ads comes after that and at that point we would be looking at what other platforms you want us to add. And some examples could be Pinterest, it could be TikTok or some other, it could be Threads actually. But yeah, so adding additional platforms will be at customer demand.
[00:57:00] Jay: Okay, great. And then Chris is asking if I have a Facebook account for my Shopify website, can I link to it?
[00:57:09] Bill: Yes. You can add your Facebook account here for sure. And you can share content to it.
[00:57:15] Jay: Okay. John is asking about what about posting to Reddit? I think you answered that already.
[00:57:20] Bill: Yeah, that’s another one. It’ll be by demand. Currently we don’t support Reddit. So it’s by request and by user demand. And then of course, we’ll have to check and make sure the platform will let us do it. You know, some of them may not, I don’t know if Reddit allows auto posting actually. If they do, then we could support it. Reddit’s a weird platform. They’re very weird about like, tools, but I know they have bots, so they must have a hooks into being able to post, actually, now that I think about it.
[00:57:47] Jay: Yeah. And, and they do also have ads, so it’s another possibility. But that’s, like you said, going to be based on user demand. Tim is asking if you don’t have one of the social media sites you listed, should you create one?
[00:58:02] Bill: Yes. Simple answer.
[00:58:04] Jay: Okay. John is asking about “AdSense stuff like that other product you had years ago.”
[00:58:14] Bill: Yeah. We’re going to be talking about Google AdSense and putting ads on your website and all of that. That’s a bonus training. So once I get everybody started in Promotion Engine and you guys are all in there and using it, then we’re going to begin I call it the Founders Club, if you remember in the webinar. And we’ll begin the Founder’s Club and I’m going to do that training. It’s a bonus that you’ll be invited to.
[00:58:33] Jay: Alright. And then Chris is also asking “once Promotion Engine is set up can we cancel the traffic packs on our CommissionEngine and PushButton sites?
[00:58:43] Bill: Well, those are different things, so I want to make it clear. You could, but then now that means you will have to log into Promotion Engine every day and do your blog posts. So this doesn’t replace that. ~It ~but yeah, you could, but then you will log in and make your daily posts, or you could batch them out. You could sit down and, spend several hours, batching out your articles and scheduling them for the future. But if you wanted to do that, then yes, you could cancel your traffic packs and do this instead.
[00:59:13] Jay: And then, let’s see, Robert is saying “we’re posting to our personal Facebook account. Is our business Facebook account included in the posting?”
[00:59:25] Bill: Yes. I can just quickly kind of help explain for those who aren’t really familiar with how Facebook does this. So Facebook controls everything by your personal Facebook login. Okay. And that doesn’t mean that we’re going to post to your personal profile. In fact, we won’t. That isn’t even possible through our system. So we will not post to your personal profile, but Facebook requires that you have one personal Facebook account that you log into, and then on Facebook you create pages that are associated with that account. And you can also create business accounts, they used to call them business managers. Now they call them something else. They keep changing everything. But so you can create a business in Facebook and you can create Facebook business pages. You still have to log in with your personal account to then access those things. So what Facebook requires of us is that you give us permission to go in through your account and make those posts on your business pages. ~I ~I hope that makes sense and we can all blame Mark Zuckerberg for making it confusing, but that’s, how that works.
[01:00:34] Jay: Exactly. Yeah. Let’s see. We got a vote for Pinterest from Chris. Also. Cool. And yeah, maybe Regie had joined kinda late, but there’s a question here. “Can we promote Shopify store and YouTube videos through it?”
[01:00:49] Bill: You could, yeah, it’s not going to post to your Shopify site, but you could take links from Shopify or links from your YouTube channel and promote them on your socials with these tools.
[01:01:03] Jay: Got it. Okay. All right. John is another vote for Reddit “number one place that Google looks for content and AI search results.”
[01:01:11] Bill: There’s one challenge with Reddit though, and ’cause our whole concept is that you’re posting to your socials, right? So your X account, your LinkedIn, your Facebook pages and Reddit kinda works differently, right? You don’t really have that on Reddit. Reddit is more of a discussion group. Think of like it’s like a giant forum, if you remember the old days when everyone used to hang out in forums, right? I think those are still online are a thing out there. But Reddit, yeah, there’s Reddit. Reddit is a forum, basically. Yeah. And so it’s a whole different concept. So, and then every subreddit, which every little community on Reddit has its own set of rules. And they might get very angry at you if you’re posting your blog posts into their subreddits and they might ban you, which then gets you banned, not just in their subreddit, but potentially completely out of Reddit. So we have to be very smart about how we, if we do Reddit, how we how we do it. ‘Cause I don’t think a lot of people may not realize that you can’t, can’t just go willy-nilly posting all over Reddit with whatever you want. You get in trouble.
[01:02:16] Jay: Yeah, that’s true. They are sensitive. Sensitive.
[01:02:20] Bill: that’s one way to put it.
[01:02:21] Jay: John’s asking if you could show us one of your Facebook pages, what a typical post would look like and click over to it.
[01:02:28] Bill: Yeah, we can make one together. That’s, the next segment, I’m going to show you how to post to your blog and how to share. Now that your socials are connected, we’re going to post to your blog and share on social all in one shot. So we’ll do that together. That’s my next segment of training. Okay.
[01:02:47] Jay: All right. Well, I think we have last question here from Chris. Does Instagram work the same way Facebook does?
[01:02:51] Bill: Instagram is a little different. So if you remember, Instagram was its own separate thing, and then Zuckerberg gobbled it up and made it part of they, they grabbed Instagram and also WhatsApp and sort of absorb them. So they’re like this weird thing where they’re a separate thing, but they’re kind of not a separate thing. And it’s, again, a little confusing. So you typically are going to have a separate Instagram account, and then there’s a process to attach it to your Facebook business. So again, don’t blame me. Go yell at Zuckerberg and tell Facebook, but that’s how they make you do it, right. So, in order to use Instagram as a business, you’ll have an Instagram account that you’ve created, and then you connect it to your, well, I keep calling it Facebook, but really it’s Meta. You connect it to your meta business manager, right? And then at that point it gives us access so that we can then post on your behalf.
[01:03:49] Jay: John’s asking, is that posting segment today or another day?
[01:03:52] Bill: Today. Yeah. I’m going to make sure that you all understand how to create content, how to post content, and how to use all the social media tools in Promotion Engine before we’re done today. So I’ll hang around here however long that takes. I’ll make sure you all understand that. That’s my agenda for today. And then we’re going to do another training segment that will happen early next week. We’ll announce it and email you all. And that’s going to be covering the advertising side of Promotion Engine, so it’s all about content and posting today. And then it’ll be all about advertising the next time we get together.
[01:04:29] Jay: Okay. Well, I think that’s it for the questions right now.
[01:04:32] Bill: Okay. Fantastic. And then. I don’t know what we, in the past we did a lot of training on how to use social media and like how to create Facebook pages and how to get fans on your pages and all that stuff. Is that something you guys are interested in? I think I was kind of assuming a lot of people that joined our early thing already had the social media stuff set up, but now I think maybe that’s not the case. Maybe you guys could use help on that front. So who votes for that? Anybody want like, we’ll call it, the social media bootcamp. Yeah. Then we can cover that. We can do a bonus segment, Jay. I don’t know when yet, but we’ll figure that out. Either that, or we could maybe put together a written guide. I’ll bet you that might be easier too than, a training segment, but, okay.
[01:05:19] Jay: One of the challenges there is that all of the platforms are updating things all the time. So, it can get out of date, but it’s worth at least getting something together on that for sure.
[01:05:28] Bill: Okay, cool, cool. Yeah, and I’m realizing because if they don’t have their business pages set up, it’s hard to have them jump to connecting them. So then I think we’ll have to help them with that. You’re right that is the constant, it used to really bother me where we’d record a training video and we post it and like two days later it would be obsolete because they changed the user interface or they changed the names of things, change the links. They’re constantly changing everything.
[01:05:53] Jay: Yeah, and I think one of the things too, I mean, you know, use your Google, sometimes it’s not hard to find if you just type in ” how to create a meta business page.”
[01:06:03] Bill: Yeah. And ChatGPT honestly can be really helpful with this stuff. So, and it’s, you know, turn on web search or deep research and use a tool like chat GBT or Gemini and you’d be surprised, you know, if you’re not sure how to set up your Facebook page, it’ll walk you through step by step how to do it. Well in addition to that, we’ll do some more training. It won’t be today, I hadn’t originally planned for it, but it seems like it’s needed, so we will do that.
[01:06:27] Jay: Okay. And then Chris is asking if there’s any trick in terms of setting up Twitter or X now?
[01:06:33] Bill: Any trick to it? Elon wants you to pay him money. That’s probably the only thing you’d say is a trick. It is worth it. If you’re not on a really, really tight budget because it’s not expensive. I don’t know what X charges now for their premium thing. But it is worth it to do that. You get, you do get, you’re more trusted on the platform. They make you go through like this identity verification step and then you pay money. And if you do that, you’ll be trusted more and you could expect to get more reach and it’s worth it. So X Premium is what they’re calling it, which also gives you access to grok. That’s Elon’s AI tool. It says it starts at $3 a month. Okay. That’s very cheap. Okay, well there you go. So bunch of information here. So I do think that is likely worth it and that’s really the only trick. Building a profile and building followers, there’s a strategy and tactics to do that and that’ll be a subject for another day.
[01:07:32] Jay: Okay. I think that’s it so we can move on. So yeah, we have a lot of people saying yes on the social media ads training.
[01:07:38] Bill: Okay. Well then we’ll move on to the next.
[01:07:44] So now that you have all of your stuff connected, you’ve got your site connected, installed the plugin if you needed to, connected your key, added your social accounts, and got your businesses all set up, now you are ready to start posting, what I would recommend is the very first thing you do is go in and start posting to your blog.
[01:08:04] And I’m going to demonstrate that now so you can see how to do that. And you have a couple of options. You can write your own original content, you can create your own original images and use the platform to post it to your blog and then share it in social media. Or you can use our built-in AI tools that’ll help you make those things inside Promotion Engine. We also have tools that will help you collect resource information from the web and add that to your articles. This is a process called curation, where you create blog posts and content where you’re quoting sources from around the internet. And that’s another viable strategy that you can also do right inside Promotion Engine. So I’m going to show you all of that right now.
[01:08:53] Okay? So the first thing you need to make sure is that you’re in the right business. So if you have multiple businesses, you’ll see that there’s a dropdown up here at the top. And I have seen a lot of people that go looking for their websites or their stuff and they can’t figure out why it’s not there. And often that’s ’cause they didn’t select the right business. You just click the little dropdown, find the business you want to post to. We’ll go to Job Crusher and then that will change us so that we are now working in the Job Crusher business. And you can always see at any time which business you’re working in by looking at this top navigation, the very first place you want to go, it’s under the Content Engine. And we’re going to go down here to the Post Creator. Here you’ll see the sites that you have added. And in this case, we have Amazing Ad Formula, which I’m going to use for a demonstration today. Next we’re going to make a post. So we do that. We clicking the new post button right here that’s going to take you to what is called the Post Creator.
[01:09:59] This user interface looks a little bit like WordPress and that’s on purpose. So it was a nice, familiar, comfortable editing tool. And we have a couple of choices. We could do it the old fashioned way and we could come up and write a title so you know, here’s my title. And we could come down here and we could write a blog post. You’ll notice you have a way to edit. Plain text or visually. So we can if we edit visually, we can say, “here’s my amazing blog post.” Here’s here’s more content. Here’s even more. Okay? Now all of these are editable, so we can use our editing tools like, you know, bold. We could take these and let’s turn them into bullet points and there’s a bunch of different editing tools. You can click this little toolbar to see some more tools. So for example, we could change the text color to pink. Why not? And then we could change this text color to purple. There we go. Pink and purple. My wife would love it. So there we go. So you can edit and make your own blog post here anytime you want. We can also add images to your blog post, and you can do that by clicking the add content button right here. Now you’re going to notice when I click it, it’s like a little slide out off to the side, see that? You can also do it by clicking the little content button on the right. They both do the same thing. So now from here we can search Flickr, which is a website where you can get images that you can share. And so we can take one of those and boom, put it right in the blog post. See how that happened? I just clicked it and it went right straight in. Okay, so then we can click down below and then we can do it again and come in here and we can add, let’s add this one import, boom, right?
[01:12:03] So we can drag and drop is the other way to do it. So we could take one, drag it and drop it where we want it on the post. And that’s how you get images in. Okay? You can also do videos. So we have ~a, ~a cool little feature here to search for YouTube videos. So, here I’m going to look for some of mine. You can put in keywords. Now I will tell you Google search is a little funky and it returns some kind of weird results sometimes. But you can also filter by clicking this little dropdown here and you can sort by relevance date and some other options. Okay? So if you want only long form videos, for example, and you don’t want short, and you can do that, and then we can click search. And so there, I found some of my very own videos. So what I could do is, here, we’ll take this one. I could drag and drop it in as well. Let’s put it there. So you can work with the editor to mess around with that, but it also will allow you to drag in, whether it’s your YouTube channel or anyone’s, you can drag content and put it right into your blog post.
[01:13:09] We have some other features that I will review in a future training session in the text and feeds and saved content area. This is if you’re following other websites for ideas. If you’re using other blogs and news sites for ideas to inspire your content, you can use these other two tabs. For today, we’re going to skip them. Now let’s go back to images. The other thing that you can do besides dragging images that you already found, finding them on Flickr or so like on Flickr, we can search, let’s say for example, I want an image of money. And then we can just click search. Now it’s going to search Flickr and find us some images that we could use. So there’s one right there, import, and then you’re going to see it’ll, in that case, it popped it down on the bottom. Okay, there we go. Now, when you use Flickr, the licensing terms require that you give credit to the original source. So you’re going to notice if you use Flickr, it’s going to pop a little link down here. Okay? Now it’s your article. You can do whatever you want with it. Just be advised if you delete that, technically you’re in violation of flicker terms and the original owner of this photo could get mad at you. So we put that in there automatically to protect you.
[01:14:29] The other option we have for images while we’re making posts is the one that everyone is looking for, and that is new AI image. Okay, so here we can just have AI make one for us on the fly. So let’s say I’m busy writing an amazing blog post about how to use AI to make money. I can go right here and I can just say, Hey, I want an image of a female robot at a desk typing on a futuristic typewriter, and it’s going to make it for me and I can just drop it right into my post. So let me show you how. So first up, obviously you pick the size and there are a lot of different sizes. In this case, I’m just going to pick Square, but we have landscape, which is, you know, long form. We have Portrait, which is tall. We have a super tall portrait, kind of like, you know, you might see on a on a Shorts video or on TikTok. It’s a very long format. And then we also have a very long landscape format. So you can pick from all of these. I’m just going to pick Square, that’s a nice smaller size that will drop nicely into my post. So now I can make a description. So I’ll just say “a female robot typing on a futuristic typewriter at a desk in a busy office.” Okay, just describe what you want and click save. And there we go. That’s how fast that was. So there’s our image. Now all we need to do is click the little upload button, and now it becomes available. If you don’t upload it, it might be a little confusing. You try to use it without uploading it it won’t work. But now that it’s uploaded, we can drag it and drop it into our post, or click import. Either one will work. And then you can also click the magnifying glass if you want to see a bigger version of it. Okay. And then of course, you also can change the size of the images by clicking and then dragging the corners. So I can make it smaller. If you want, you could come up here and move it to the center. So you’ll notice down below that centered my image. So let’s say you also, let’s say we want to take this one, we could move it to the right and so forth. And then of course you can put your text in here so you have complete control over editing your blog posts.
[01:17:00] Now, I’m going to select all of this and I’m going to delete it. We’re going to start over because let’s say you don’t want to write your own original blog post by hand, and instead you want AI to do it. So you come in here and we’re going to click right with ai. That’s the button you see right there next to the title. You can put a title in here and start, or you can start even with no title. And that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to just start out as if I have no title, no idea, no nothing. I just want to make a post. So we’re going to click “Write with AI” and the little wizard will pop up that’s going to help us write with AI. So here we’re going to tell it what is our topic and niche. And I’m going to say “building a business online with AI. Okay, “how many words do you want?” And you’ll see there’s a variety of choices you can do up to 3000 words, but it is your choice. So in this case, I’m going to do a 1500 word article. And then “what language do you want it in?” You can see the languages we support there. Okay. Once you’ve made your choices, you hit Continue to next step. Now we have our targeting. “Who is this post for?” So let’s say this is “people 50 plus who are looking for financial freedom.” Okay. Also if you want it to automatically put videos in there, you can type in here to say what keywords you want for it to do video searches. We can automatically have it add a featured image so we can have the AI make an image for us and make that be, it’s called your featured image. And then we can also have it make images for us. And then we click continue. So, and all of this stuff will happen automatically. So in this case, we’re going to find a video from me. So I’m going to put my name in here and I’m going to say, “make money with AI.” Okay. And then we can see some choices here. So we’ll pick one. Let’s pick that one. Okay, so you can play it, but then make sure you clicked it so that the blue highlight is there. Okay. And now we’re going to click Continue.
[01:19:22] Okay, so here, make sure you have your content plan together. And this is saying primary SEO keywords, but I want to stress something that’s really, really important. In our very first training, I talked about how important it was not to only rely on SEO keywords and how you should create a content plan based around the biggest problems and goals that your audience has. So with that in mind, what we’re going to do is we’re going to brainstorm and use one of those big problems, or one of those goals to try to come up with some keywords. Okay? Or if you’re unsure, we have a generate keywords function that I’ll show you right here. So if you have no idea and you don’t want to be the one to come up with the keywords, we can click this little magic button right here and it will find us keywords. So we’re going to click it and it is now generating a set of keywords. There we go. I like this one. “AI marketing for beginners.” So you can just click it, it’s turned green, and that’s when you know what’s selected. So now we can skip the primary SEO keyword because it is selected here. Now the other thing that is often useful is if you want your blog post to have a link pointing to something external. So think of this like, let’s say you have a reference article or what’s called an authority on your topic and you want to link to it. It actually helps Google respect your website if you link out to respected authorities on your topic. Google loves that. Or another way you might want to use this is, let’s say you have an affiliate product that you would like to promote in your article. Well drop the link right there and it will inject it into your article for you automatically. Another use might be your own products. Let’s say you have a product for sale, maybe you have a course for sale or a Shopify product or something else that you want to promote in your article. Drop the link right there. And so that’s where we put external links and there’s a variety of reasons why you might want to do that depending upon what you’re trying to accomplish.
[01:21:37] Okay, this is very important for SEO. If you’re trying to rank in Google, you need what’s called internal linking and you need to do it in a very specific and proper way. And what we do is we arrange that for you and we automate it, which is a massive boost for your search engine signals that you send to Google. It helps Google understand what your site’s about when you do this properly. And we will automatically do this following all the industry best practices to help you get trust and ranking with Google. And all you have to do to activate that is choose the category that’s related to your blog. So these are categories on my website. So what we want to do is we want to pick a category that is related to the topic, and on my website at the moment, this demo site only has two. Technically your website should have 10, one for each of your 10 problems, goals, and benefits. But for this demo, this is just a test site.
[01:22:35] So we’re going to click “social media marketing.” Okay? And then this is, do you want it to link to recent blog posts that you have already posted on your website? This is also another search engine marketing benefit. So we can say, I don’t know, two. So what this is now going to do is this going to link two posts in the “social media marketing” category, and it’s going to do two of the two recent blog posts that your site has made. Okay? Now, if you’re really knowledgeable about SEO, you understand why this is so valuable. But if you’re new to search engine rankings and, and getting rankings in Google just know that these are very helpful. Then we click continue.
[01:23:23] Now we need an article title. So you have a couple of choices. Choice one, you write it. So if you’re good at writing titles and you really want control, you can write your own. Just type there and fill it out. If you want help from the ai, which I think is what most people will do, they’ll click the generate titles button, which is going to do this. There we go. Now we have a variety of titles here. We’re going to pick, let’s see, I sure love this particular one. It loves to try to put in over 50. So I think what I’m going to do is I’m going to click that one and now it’s going to tell us it’s going to give us the structure of the article that it wants to create. Now, currently, this is not editable right here, but what I want to show you. Is that at the end, you have a chance to edit any of the settings that you have made. So let, let me show you that to you right now. So I’m going to click Continue.
[01:24:27] And this is our final step. Our final page. It’s showing the topic in the niche, the, all the settings we did before. If we have an external link, the language, there’s the YouTube video that we promoted. And then here are all the subtopics here. Okay? So these are editable. So if you don’t like the title like I’m going to strip that out, right?
[01:24:50] I’m going to say “retire happy,” right? So you can tweak and adjust anything here that you want to before you post it. Okay? Now realize it’s going to create an article and you’re going to have a chance to review and see and edit the article before it actually appears on your website. So don’t worry if you click generate article, it isn’t like you’re stuck. You can tweak it, modify it, you can even throw it away if you don’t want to post it to your site. But the next thing is to click generate article and it’s now gone to work.
[01:25:20] So at this point, this might take a moment because it’s doing a lot. There are a lot of steps and it’s a set of AI agents that all have very specific tasks. There are agents that are doing research, there are agents that are writing content, there are agents that are creating images. They’re all collaborating in the back room, and they’re going to put together. An well, what should be an awesome article that we’ll see in just a moment.
[01:25:45] And then at this point it’s going to put the article, ah, it finished. Okay. So it put the article in our editor, so you can see that right here. We had a little bit of a bug there, but I’ll trace that down after we’re not live. But here is the article. Okay, so there’s the article that it created, there’s the video I wanted, there’s an image it created for us. So it put an image in the article for us. And I think because I was already messing around with images, it kind of messed it up just a little bit. And then we have what’s called our featured image. And so, that would’ve automatically been set for you. But I caused this error because I had already been working here. Okay. So, that would’ve been, yeah, that would’ve been automatically set for my settings. Okay, so now we can give it a category. This is the categories on our blog, like, over on your WordPress site, any category that you have created there will be visible here. So you pick the related one. And then you can edit it more. You can continue to polish, improve tweak it, and then we can come down here once you know you’re really happy with it. Down here we can activate this share on social media. ~Okay? ~So I’m going to cover that in just a moment. And what I will do, I’m going to set my featured image manually. So I am going to do a new AI image, and I’m going to say ” a happy retired couple walking into a beautiful sunset towards a cyber punk futuristic city.” Let’s make sure I can spell and we’ll create an image. Okay. So there we go. I’m going to upload it. And there we go. There’s our featured image. Now review the article, make sure you’re happy with it, and then we’re going to post it to our website.
[01:28:12] So what I would like to do now is take a brief moment to see if you have any questions about the editor and creating posts on your website. So we’ll handle those here real quickly. And then we will move on to posting and sharing this on social media.
[01:28:32] So, Jay, is there any questions out there? I haven’t been watching the chat, so
[01:28:36] Jay: yeah, just a few right now, but if anybody has any questions they want to pop in here while we’re covering those, then please do.
[01:28:43] Bill: Yeah, I covered a lot of ground, so I just want to make sure before I keep powering forward that I get anybody caught up.
[01:28:48] Jay: Yeah, so simple one here. Chris is asking, ” can you add your own images to a post?” So upload images yourself?
[01:28:56] Bill: Absolutely. Yeah, that was here, I’ll show you on screen. So if we go to the content we just click the upload, see that? Upload there. And here we will finish. So if you come over here and click upload, see that there’s a browse there. So you could literally drag and drop files here, or you click browse. And then it’s going to allow me to select files from my computer so I can upload here. Let’s pick, let’s pick a picture. Let’s see. There we go. And then you got to remember to click this little upload there. I always forget that. And there we go. So then now I have an image that I’ve uploaded and I could drag and drop that. And sometimes the editor’s a little weird. Sometimes it goes in weird places. Did it put it at the bottom? It did. Okay, so let me click this. I’m going to make it smaller, and then I can actually, you can move it around a little bit. The simplest way to control where it’s going to go is to scroll to where you want it.
[01:29:59] Like, I’ll click here, I’m going to hit enter a couple of times to make room. I’m going to click right here. And that is a surefire way and then if I click Import, it puts it right where my cursor is. So that’s the quickest and easiest way to do that. But there you go.
[01:30:15] Jay: Okay. Great. And then, Tim is asking, “how does your targeting utilize the 10 PGBs?
[01:30:23] Bill: Well, right now we’re not targeting anything we are posting, right? So we’re sharing a piece of content and talking about the keywords. Oh, got it. Yeah. So there is a missing step that you’re going to get in the training I’m going to share with you which is, let me come up here. So you’re going to take your 10 problems, goals, and benefits, and those become the categories on your website as an example.
[01:30:51] And then from there you can simply take the problem’s, goal or benefit and type it in as an SEO keyword or you can use it to get ideas for the kind of keywords that you want to cover. So you’re going to be basing all your choices. So if AI makes you suggestions or you’re coming up with keyword ideas, they’ll all be centered around those 10 problems, goals and benefits, which will also be categories in your website.
[01:31:22] Jay: Suzette is saying “I’ve not identified what all the symbols are for.” I think she means in Promotion Engine. ” Is there a way to practice with these tools without the risk of losing important materials?”
[01:31:34] Bill: I mean, you won’t lose anything. There isn’t really a practice mode. You can make posts like I just did without posting them, Hey, let me show you that. So if you’re a little worried that your post is not, is going to be messed up, all you have to do is click this, “Save As Draft”, and it won’t publish it. Okay. So as long as you don’t publish it, it’s not going to be public on your website. So you can save it as a draft and come back and look at it later.
[01:32:00] Jay: Yeah. And for now it’s only inside of Promotion Engine.
[01:32:03] Bill: Yeah, for now it’s, it’s right here on this page. If I close this window, this article would be gone until I click save as draft or publish.
[01:32:11] Jay: Okay. That’s clear. Okay, great. And then Tim is asking, are there packs where these posts are created for you?
[01:32:22] Bill: I mean, we do have what’s called our traffic packs that is a separate service We’ve been selling for a while, even going back before pro Promotion Engine where this, all of this is totally done for you. But yeah, that’s a separate a separate thing.
[01:32:36] Jay: Yeah. And that just creates posts on the site. It doesn’t actually do any posting to socials or anything like that.
[01:32:41] Bill: That’s right. Yeah. The traffic packs only create the posts on the site. They don’t share in social. You can only do that through a Promotion Engine.
[01:32:49] Jay: Or manually. Next question. “How many posts should we create?” Neil asks.
[01:32:57] Bill: The more the merrier. Yeah, I would say a good rule of thumb is one a day. For some people I might be a little bit overwhelming. You could post, like, we’re not as aggressive with our social media marketing today as we should be, but back when we were really, really focused on social media marketing, we would post eight times a day. That’s with a little bit of a bigger audience. But to give you an idea, you can post very frequently. Except I’d say LinkedIn, you might not want to post eight times a day. But, Facebook, you could, Instagram, you could X, you certainly could. X you should post a lot there. So you post as much as you can, right? Like I used to do that. Like a machine, we were posting eight a day. Some of our pages, some of our big pages, like we had a couple close to a million, you know, we would post up to 20 times a day. But you know, I’m not doing that currently. I probably should be. So you just have to do as much as you can is really the answer there. Now if you have a Facebook page that has a literally zero fans on it you could post less frequently.
[01:34:03] Jay: Let’s see. Bo’s asking “how do we produce a video for the blog?”
[01:34:10] Bill: Well, this is not a video maker, so it won’t make a video. What you saw me doing was searching existing videos on YouTube so you can search out of anyone ever who’s created a video on YouTube and share it in your blog. So if you are not already making videos, you just share other people’s videos if they provide value to your article, right?
[01:34:34] If so, let’s say I wrote, like here, I wrote an article about how to use AI so I can, I happen to have videos myself that I could select from. But even if I didn’t, let’s say I didn’t have my YouTube channel, I can still type in keywords and find other videos that would be very useful as a companion to my article. And that’s optional.
[01:34:56] Jay: So, something people could do if they wanted to, is create their own YouTube channel and make their own videos that they could use there.
[01:35:02] Bill: Yeah. Then it becomes really easy. You just type in the name of your channel or your name and then the keywords you’re looking for, and you can pop like I just did and pop in your own videos. Otherwise you can just literally put in any video that exists on YouTube.
[01:35:16] Jay: And then John was saying, ” 10 problems, goals, and benefits. So that adds up to 30 categories,” maybe we can clarify.
[01:35:22] Bill: Yeah, so let me clarify that. So it’s 10. It’s five problems. Five goals that makes 10. And then the benefits of those. So it’s really 10 categories from five problems, five goals, and then you want to be thinking about what are those benefits, from a planning and strategic standpoint, for like, if you’re deciding what keywords to go after or you’re wanting to understand what your content should be about that’s where the 10 PGB comes in. That’s more about strategy. But you’ll have 10 categories. Yeah.
[01:35:55] Jay: And then Chris is asking, “can you schedule the posting dates?”
[01:36:00] Bill: Yes. I will show you that next. But we can not only schedule the posting date for our post, but we can also schedule when it’s going to be shared in social media. So I can make a post that goes live tomorrow, then I can share it on Facebook the next day, LinkedIn the next day, Twitter the next day after that. And we can schedule all of that in the steps I’m about to show you next.
[01:36:24] Jay: Awesome. Alright, so then Chris is also asking “can you use the posts from the traffic packs on social?”
[01:36:33] Bill: You can, there’s a whole other set of tools that I haven’t got to show you yet that allow you to share any link you want on your socials. I’ll show you that. And we’re running long today, so, I’ll try to get that covered today, but we might have to spin that into ~another, into the next, ~the next training session.
[01:36:47] Jay: Okay, great. And then Tim is asking do you need permission to use other videos?
[01:36:52] Bill: Surprisingly, no. So, that’s something that not a lot of people realize. Here, let me show you, like you guys could use my videos, right? If you wanted to. Well, let’s go to YouTube. So we’ll look at some of mine. Okay, so here’s some videos from me. Let’s go to the videos tab. Here’s my most recent one there. So let’s go to it. And if you notice the share button, if you click it, one of the options that you’re going to notice right here is Embed. See that this code allows anyone to share my video on their website. So you, you could quite literally share my video. So what that feature does is, is it’s just automatically tapping into this option, okay? And almost every video has this, like 99% of all videos on YouTube have the ability where you can embed them on your website if you wanted to.
[01:37:48] Jay: So basically, if it shows up in the Promotion Engine when you’re looking for videos, then it’s one you can just go ahead and grab.
[01:37:54] Bill: Yep, it’s shareable, no permission required, you know. Now that being said, if you share some YouTube channels video and they get mad at you. I’ve never, literally, never in my whole career ever had that happen. But if that happened, worst you have to do is just remove it. You know, you go into the post, you edit it and just delete it. It’s super simple to get rid of it, but no permission is required, doesn’t violate YouTube terms of conditions, doesn’t violate copyright. It’s the system is literally built to allow anyone to share those videos.
[01:38:28] Jay: Yep. Then we are out of questions.
[01:38:32] Bill: Okay. Fantastic. So now what I’m going to do, seeing how long we’ve run today I’m going to show you how to now make this post and share it in social media. But then I’m going to push till our next session. I’m going to show you how there’s a bunch of other social media tools that you can use for making images. You can even share videos on Instagram and on Facebook, and there are other sharing and social creation tools. But I’m going to move that to our next session just for the sake of everyone’s time.
[01:39:04] So we’ve got our posts that we’ve made here. We’ve got our images in it, I’ve got everything set. So now what I could do, like I showed you up here, is I could save it as a draft. Which would then just save it into my WordPress website, and it would just be sitting in there waiting for me to publish it At some future date. I can come back and edit it some more and I can publish it at some future date. The other thing that you can do too is if you have different authors set up on your website, you might have multiple authors. You can also edit that here too. Okay, so you would just click edit and change it? Right. So here, I’ll, I’ll put this under Curtis’s name. And then we scroll to the bottom.
[01:39:51] And the setting down at the bottom is easy to miss, especially if you’ve created a long article. But this is where we automatically share on social media. So we pick which network we want, like Facebook, we pick which page we want to put it on, like I’ll put it on Job Crusher. And then you set when you want it to publish. You could say immediately that’s what it’s set by default, or you can click the little calendar and schedule it for the future. Down here is a little preview of what that’s going to look like. Now you do need to make your little message here, so you could say ” AI is an amazing way to get a business launched, especially if you are not a techie” colon. Okay? Fix the capitalization. Okay? Now you can make more. Okay? So you can come up here and I can click the plus and you’ll notice it made another one at the bottom here. So now I could put it on Twitter. I could select my Twitter page and I got the same thing. I can edit this and tweak it and it would share that on Twitter. Or I could put it on LinkedIn, and share it to my LinkedIn page. Same thing. I can schedule it for different dates, so I can have one that publishes one day another that publishes another day. I could set up where three or four different Facebook pages post my link on different days if I wanted to, and I could set all that up here. Okay? So for this quick demo, I’m just going to share it right now on Facebook so you can quickly see that it worked. A topic for us to cover in a future training session is this right here, “create an ad from this post.” So we will be covering how you can use paid ads to greatly amplify your results and get way more traffic. But that’s a topic for another training video. So now we’ve got it all set up and we’ll scroll back up to the top and we got the Publish button right there. So I’m going to go ahead and publish this and let’s see what happens.
[01:42:14] So one of the things to realize what it’s doing right here, it’s doing a bunch of steps. So it is connected to WordPress and uploaded all those images, uploaded the post, published the Post. Then once it’s published, it grabs the link to your post and goes and drops that into Facebook and shares it on social media. Now, in future sessions, I will show you how to then put even put ads to promote those with paid ad spending. So let’s see here if all went according to plan. Let me go to Facebook and there’s Job Crusher and no, it hasn’t posted yet. Okay. Well that’s frustrating. This just worked just before we were live. Why is it not working now? Let me log into WordPress over here. I’m sure I must have done something wrong. I don’t know what though. Let’s get to the bottom of it. Let’s see, posts. Did it not make it in at all? Okay. No it is there. Okay. Well there’s the post that was just made. So you can see that’s the one we just made in AI, there’s my video, there’s that other link. So there’s the post, the website. But here I am not seeing it post for some reason, so I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong.
[01:44:09] But as an example, this one was made the same exact way. So this article right here was made with the editor and shared in the same way. In fact, I can tell they have been testing on the account and didn’t delete the posts.
[01:44:28] So I am, I’m sure I’ve done something wrong at the bottom. Probably the way I was messing around with the, the, the social posting here probably broke something. But this is a great opportunity to show you something else. So, that is the post that directly at the website. So the other thing you can always do, I might as well show you how you can share your own social posts is we can copy that link right there. And then in Promotion Engine, there’s a whole other tool called social posting. So we can go there and we can share directly anywhere we want. So we’ll do the same thing here.
[01:45:02] Let’s go, let’s just, I’m going to see if I don’t want ads. No. And we’re going to do it immediately. And I’m going to share a link. So I’m going to paste the link in there. And what I’m going to do is I’m going to, there we go. There’s our little preview of it. So I’m going to say, ” AI is a great way for tech challenged people to launch a business.” Okay. And so from this tool, again, this is a different tool under Content Engine. It’s called Social Posting. And we can come over here and what we’re going to see is, is I’m going to create this post and it will either create it properly on Facebook, or it’s possible in my earlier testing that I broke my connection to Facebook. So let, let’s see. So it says it was posted. Well, let’s see if that’s true. And sometimes there’s a very short delay on Facebook’s side. But let’s see what’s happening. And I’ll bet somehow I broke my ability to post when I was doing the testing earlier. Okay. Yeah, so I don’t know what’s happening. I broke my Facebook connection. I’ll have to go back and figure out how to fix it. But for you, what you’re going to want to do at this stage is connect up all your assets. Connect up your website and then you can begin experimenting with the features that I just showed you.
[01:46:38] So at this stage what I would like to do is go back and do a round of questions with everyone and help you out with anything at all we’ve covered today.
[01:46:47] So we’ll just do a open round of questions and then we’ll wrap up for the day. And we have more training coming that we’ll be announcing. I’ll be sending you emails with the dates and times but yeah, a lot more training coming on how to use the tool. And of course, you always have access to support at help@promotionengine.com to get support on Promotion Engine.
[01:47:09] That’s where you do it. And then for full transparency, when I talked about you guys being like the first group into this new version of Promotion Engine and that we’re developing it actively, you can see that’s exactly the case. So I’m sure this won’t be the last time you see me try to demonstrate something and get a little egg on my face. So, with that let’s do some questions.
[01:47:33] Jay: Cheryl’s asking, “can you schedule multiple posts to a single platform for one blog, like one morning post on Facebook one afternoon post on Facebook for the same blog post? Would that even make sense?”
[01:47:46] Bill: Yes, you could. I personally wouldn’t do them on the same day. I might have two or three different blog posts that I could share in the same day, but I would want to share the same blog post, kind of over and over and over. Now you can spread it out. You could take that blog post and post once today. Once in three or four days from now, once again, in 10 days or a month from now, you could do that. But I wouldn’t recommend doing them like back to, back to back. Facebook wouldn’t like that.
[01:48:12] Jay: Right. Okay. And then Tim is asking, ” when should we look for a schedule for our individual coach?” So, actually I’ll answer that since I run the mentoring team as well. They will be emailing you tomorrow with an engagement email, which will include a link to their schedule so you can book with them.
[01:48:34] Bill: Yeah. And that’s for anyone in the Ultimate program will have that. We’ll be reaching out and getting you scheduled up.
[01:48:39] Jay: Jens is asking, “apart from the ultimate, I also signed up for the promotion acceleration and amplification program.” How do I get access to that?
[01:48:48] Bill: Same thing. So this is a series of trainings that begin today. So you’ll have access to those soon. I have two training sessions planned on how to use Promotion Engine because the amplification and acceleration package that I talked about will be useless for you until you’re all set up. So we’re going to get these two done. Then anyone who took that acceleration and amplification upsell, you’ll get your training and all the stuff that comes with that. And then the Founder’s Club begins and that continues to roll out for many weeks to come. So that’s kind of the schedule moving forward.
[01:49:24] Jay: Okay. Great. And then John is asking, “if we were to set this up on some auto posting, can Promotion Engine also automatically create those subheadings on Facebook so we can set it and forget it? Or will we have to manually add that initial heading to, for Facebook posting?”
[01:49:44] Bill: At the moment you add that caption, yeah.
[01:49:49] Jay: All right. And then Nathaniel’s asking “how many of my products can I use on Promotion Engine as far as the limits?”
[01:49:58] Bill: I’m not sure I totally understand that question. Would you say how many products? Could you clarify what that means exactly and then I can do a better job answering. Yeah.
[01:50:10] Jay: And now Chris is asking “did you have to take the acceleration package to get the Founders Club training?”
[01:50:17] Bill: No. Two different things. So there’s a acceleration and amplification package was an upsell, and then Founders Club, everyone who joined early is going to get that.
[01:50:26] Jay: Well, yeah, that is part of what you’re experiencing right now.
[01:50:32] Bill: Yeah. I’m going to share a lot of insight info about campaigns that we are either currently running or strategies that we have been using and some kind of inside info about scaling and speeding up your progress so that, that’s the acceleration and amplification. And then the Founders’ Club is all going to be a series of trainings about two things.
[01:50:54] One, promoting an existing business. So if you have a bricks and mortar or traditional business or even an online business, and you’re looking for how to promote that with these tools. We’re going to do a series of trainings on how to do that. And then the other thing that comes with Founders Club is the money from Thin Air.
[01:51:11] So I’m going to do a series on that as well. Everyone gets access to those two. That’s part of the Founder’s Club.
[01:51:19] Jay: All right. So, yeah, Nathaniel was clarifying how many businesses can you create.
[01:51:26] Bill: Yeah. Each level came with different ones, and I don’t remember at the, off the top of my head, I’d have to pull up the sales page.
[01:51:34] Jay: Yeah, I found it. It does say max social accounts and max websites per level, but I don’t see anything here that says how many businesses.
[01:51:43] Bill: Okay, so then the limit would be on the max number of websites and social accounts. So it’s whatever it’s set on the sales page is what is, how is architected. ~So,~
[01:51:52] Jay: Yes. What we got is for the light level it’s seven social accounts. For premium it’s 21 and for Ultimate it’s 42. That’s the social accounts. And then for the websites, it’s light one website, premium three, and Ultimate six, is what it says here.
[01:52:14] Bill: There you go. And I did see a question they’re asking like, what about how our products are? Is CommissionEngine one business and Simple Money Machine, another and is CommissionEngine, PushButton ai? Like, is each of these a separate business? And the quick answer to that is not necessarily, so it’s for you, whatever makes sense as a kind of business unit, if you have a CommissionEngine site that promotes affiliate products in the same exact niche, that you also have a PushButton site that sells courses. And they’re all in the same niche and they’re kind of working together. That’s one business. But let’s say you have a CommissionEngine site that sells, I don’t know, weight loss, and then you have a PushButton AI site that is make money online. Those would not be one business. Those would be two. You, you would want to organize them as two separate business entities inside Promotion Engine and just generally all the way around is how, that’s how you should look at it. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:53:07] Jay: Makes sense. Okay. Right. I think that clarifies what Nathaniel is asking then. It’s not that PushButton AI and CommissionEngine are businesses. It’s actually the sites you create with them. That would be the businesses.
[01:53:20] Bill: Exactly.
[01:53:21] Jay: Okay. And then Chris is asking “if you have several businesses and you find you want to change Promotion Engine to a different business or website later…” Not sure that’s a full question, but I guess he’s asking can you do that?
[01:53:36] Bill: So let’s say you’ve hit your cap on the amount of social accounts or the cap on the amount of sites you can remove them and then add more in their place. Right? So if you’ve like, what was that? One of them was like six sites, I think. So let’s say you’ve added all six sites and one of them you’re kind of done with and you have a different one. You could just remove it and then add another one to fill that slot.
[01:53:59] Jay: Great. Okay. John was asking ” what is Money from Thin Air?”
[01:54:06] Bill: Money from Thin Air is all, it’s I was describing this in the sales webinar and that is a business model where you, you don’t have your own product or service, right? So you don’t have something that you are selling, but you can build a website and use Promotion Engine and the two together can make you money. So without you having your own product or service, and you make the money out of either affiliate marketing or advertising or both and that’s a strategy that I will be teaching you all.
[01:54:36] Jay: So, that’s also type of site that you can build with CommissionEngine also is focused on affiliate marketing in case anybody was curious about that.
[01:54:45] Bill: Yeah, CommissionEngine will build you those sites. I’m going to cover the strategy and, and tactically how you use Promotion Engine to get traffic for those sites.
[01:54:54] But, you know, CommissionEngine is the tool that will build them for you. Yeah, for sure.
[01:54:59] Jay: Okay. All right. Suzette is asking “an app and a website is one or two?” Suzette also is a member on our software generator ai.
[01:55:08] Bill: Ah, okay. Same concept Suzette. So if you have an app that sells weight loss, and then you have a course website that sells a weight loss course, and you have a CommissionEngine site that promotes weight loss affiliate products, those all would be one bundle of one business. Makes sense? Kind of think of it more of like the niches more than a business. And then separately, if you had another one that was, I don’t know, in home decor that would be a separate business.
[01:55:37] Jay: Okay. Great. Well, I think I covered everything. Yep. I don’t see any questions I missed it at this point, so I think we’re good. If I missed your question, pop it in again really quickly so we can make sure.
[01:55:49] Bill: Ask now or forever hold your peace. Until the next show Yeah. Yeah. ,
[01:55:55] Jay: I’m seeing thank yous. So I think that’s it. And y’all are very welcome! We’re excited to have you here with the Promotion Engine and to bring that to you as a new tool that’s going to automate a whole lot of stuff for you. You’re going to see as we go through the trainings, just how useful it really can be.
[01:56:10] Bill: Yeah, exactly, exactly. And I will apologize in advance. Remember that we are literally building this together. So, you know, it wasn’t just a marketing gimmick when I said you guys were early. You really are. And so there’s a good and bad that goes with that. The good is that you get to give me feedback on features, right? So you could tell me like, oh, we don’t need this feature, but we really want this one.
[01:56:33] Or you could tell me, I want you to support this posting to this site, to Pinterest. Like I saw Pinterest requests today, so you get to give me feedback. I will always listen. I should say that, but I may not always take action on your feedback, but I will take it to heart. And we will build it in and plan around your needs and wants. Remember, it’s all about helping you solve your problems, right?
[01:56:56] Jay: Yeah, absolutely. And John’s asking if we’ve determined the time and day for having regularly scheduled trainings yet?
[01:57:04] Bill: No. We have not. So, we’ll, we do have another one coming in the next few days. And I have to apologize. It’s my schedule is the problem. If it were up to Jay, it would all be very well organized and exactly predictable. Jay is way more organized than I am, but unfortunately, my schedule is absolutely insane. So, I’m trying to be as flexible as I can and make myself as available as I can. And I don’t have the dates yet to promise Jay. He’s actually been chasing me down, asking me the very same thing that you are.
[01:57:34] Jay: Pretty much every day. Yes!
[01:57:42] Bill: I’ll brainstorm in the morning, and then we should be able to announce tomorrow a better prediction of when the training sessions are going to happen.
[01:57:49] Jay: Okay. Yeah. We’ll let you know. We will be sending out email announcements for that. By the way, folks everybody should make sure that if you didn’t see the announcements for this double check your spam folder, double check your promotions tab, if you’re on Gmail, or wherever else they might end up on other email providers.
[01:58:07] And be sure that if it did go to a spam folder or a different folder to move the, the announcements from that folder and move all of them actually into your inbox, because that’ll give Google the signal that you want those in your inbox. And we want them in your inbox too.
[01:58:21] So, we will probably send a minimum of four to five announcements, depending on how much time Bill gives me in advance. So, but we want to make sure that you will know when these are, and then we’ll go from there. We will let you know as soon as we can on this.
[01:58:39] Bill: There you go. So, yeah, we’ll do that and I will try to make Jay’s life easier with a predictable schedule and everyone else, so you guys can also plan around when these are. So, yeah, we’ll get that sorted and make sure you all know about it.
[01:58:54] Jay: Sounds good to me.
[01:58:56] Bill: Alright, well then with that, let’s wrap it up. It’s got to be late for you. What time is it where you’re at, Jay?
[01:59:02] Jay: It’s going on 8:30 for me.
[01:59:04] Bill: Oh, late night. Okay. Well then with that, thank you Jay for staying up late and helping me out tonight. And everybody else, thank you so much for being part of this. It’s really awesome to have you here. And we may have a few little bumps here and there along the way, but I’m going to build something awesome for you. That’s going to bring you a lot of traffic, and ultimately then a lot of money. So with that, we’ll see you next time. Bye!
